BidFunnels in ChatGPT.

Find bids that fit your company, see why each one is a Go, Maybe or Skip, run your pipeline and work on your proposals, from a ChatGPT chat.

What you need

An active BidFunnels account and a ChatGPT account. US government bids only.

Create a BidFunnels account

Add it

For now, BidFunnels is added with ChatGPT’s Developer mode, on chatgpt.com. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan.

  1. In ChatGPT, turn on Settings → Apps → Advanced settings → Developer mode.
  2. Choose Create app. Name it BidFunnels and paste this link: https://mcp.bidfunnels.com
  3. For authentication, choose OAuth, confirm, and create it.
  4. A BidFunnels window opens: enter your email, type the code we send and choose Connect.

What ChatGPT can look up

  • new matches, and bids due in the next 7 days
  • open federal, state, local and school bids, each with your Go, Maybe or Skip and the reasons
  • a bid’s details, amendments, red flags, competition and documents list
  • your saved, hidden and tracked bids, by pipeline stage
  • your company profile: the NAICS codes, set-asides and state that scoring uses
  • the requirements and drafts of bids you’ve started
  • for a section you’re writing: its requirements, your saved answers, and passages from your Library

What it can change

ChatGPT asks before it removes, overwrites or spends credits.

  • save and track bids
  • hide bids from your matches
  • move tracked bids between stages, with a note for each bid’s history
  • start a bid, which reads its documents into a requirements list, or start a draft

Its changes show in the bid’s history as made via ChatGPT. It can’t change billing, your team or your account.

Your Library

ChatGPT sees passages from your past proposals, past performance and résumés, in draft sections and writing help, only while Let ChatGPT and Claude read your Library is on. It starts on. The account owner sets it in Settings → Integrations, for everyone on the team, and turning it off takes effect at once. With it off, ChatGPT can still start a draft and show its outline and coverage.

ChatGPT never gets the files themselves, only the passages a section needs.

AI credits

Starting a bid or a draft uses your company’s BidFunnels AI credits, the same as in the app. ChatGPT tells you how many first and asks. A bid that’s already been read costs nothing. Search, scores and your pipeline use none.

Limits

  • Up to 10 bids per search; ask for the next page.
  • Up to 30 requests a minute and 600 an hour.
  • Reading a bid’s documents usually takes 2 to 4 minutes. Ask ChatGPT whether it’s done.

Disconnect

In BidFunnels: Settings → Integrations → Disconnect. It stops working right away, and your bids, drafts and files stay in BidFunnels.

In ChatGPT: Settings → Apps → BidFunnels → Disconnect.

If ChatGPT says

“This connection has ended.”

It was disconnected in BidFunnels, or your seat was removed. In ChatGPT, connect BidFunnels and sign in again.

“Your BidFunnels plan doesn't include searching bids right now.”

Your company's BidFunnels plan isn't active. The account owner can check it in BidFunnels, under Billing.

“… is out of BidFunnels AI credits until Dec 1, so reading documents is paused.”

Starting bids and drafts waits until the credits renew on the date it gives. Search, scores and your pipeline still work.

“Your BidFunnels plan doesn't include requirements and drafts right now.”

Starting bids and drafts isn't part of your company's plan. Search, scores, saving, tracking and your pipeline still work.

“… doesn't let AI apps read its Library, so it can't be used here.”

Library sharing is off. The account owner can turn it on in Settings → Integrations.

“Too many requests. Try again in a minute.”

More than 30 requests in a minute, or 600 in an hour. Wait a minute and ask again.
